What is a shadow?

A shadow is like a dark area reflected by your body or object.

Do you know how light travels?

Light travels in straight line from a source of light, which bounces off an object. We can see the object because the light enters our eyes. Wood and cupboard are Opaque object, which light cannot travel through. Glass is a tranparent materials which allows light to pass through. Tissue paper is translucent which will allow some light to travel through. Shadows are the shortest at midday and longest at the end of the day.    

Why do shadow look different at different times of the day?

The size of a shadow depends on several different things, the

closer an object is to a light source, the larger the shadow will be. If you move the same object farther away from the light source, the shadow will become smaller. So the size of the shadow changes, even though the size of an object don't.

What light source can be used to create a shadow?

Use a light bulb, sunlight, torchest did you know some torchest are 20,000 more lightier than the fire and wood one. TV's and big screen.
